Attorney Lakisha Russell is a dedicated and results-driven litigator known for her hands-on approach and unwavering commitment to her clients. Lakisha’s legal career began in the Brazos County District Attorney’s Office, where she interned in the felony division under District Attorney Jarvis Parsons. During that time, she assisted in the prosecution of serious criminal matters, including murder and sex crime cases—an experience that sharpened her litigation skills and deepened her commitment to justice.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, with a specialization in Juvenile Justice, from Prairie View A&M University, and later obtained her Juris Doctor from Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law. She was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in May 2019 and has since built a respected and rapidly growing legal practice.
Beyond the courtroom, Lakisha is deeply committed to service and community impact. She was honored as Service Woman of the Year (2020) by the Southern Pearls Alumni Chapter of Gamma Sigma Sigma and continues to embody the organization’s mission of “Unity in Service.”
In addition to her legal career, Lakisha is a devoted wife, mother, and minister. Her journey is a testament to faith, resilience, and determination. Once told she would have to choose between being a successful attorney or a dedicated family woman, she has proven that it is possible to excel in both—building a thriving law practice while nurturing a strong and loving family.
